Self Introduction
Hello sir or madam, my name is Paul and I've been teaching English in Japan for one year. I taught English for an Eikaiwa school. I taught kids, reading, and writing. I also include side languages for kids to use every day, such as "May I help you with passing out the pencils?" "May I start coloring?" "May I help pass out snacks". I helped kids with come up with ideas for arts & crafts projects and they would draw what they wanted to create based on the subject topic. I also teach kids proper etiquette with English and made sure the students follow the school rules as a daily reminder. I help students with phonics and vocab plus sentence structure, I would come with games based on the phonics and vocab they learned. After reviewing the phonics and vocab, I would give students worksheets to see if they understand what they’ve learned. I hope by working at a new place, I can continue to broaden my teaching skills. Working at a new place can be difficult, but I’m willing to learn new ideas and improve my teaching methods. I want to ensure that my students get very comfortable speaking in the English language. To encourage their success and to speak confidently without fret. Working with coworkers is important, even though culture differences may arise. I’m always open to listening to other people’s advice/opinions, in order to achieve our goals through team effort and communication. Thank you so much for your time.
