To whom it may concern,
I am a professional EFL teacher and a US citizen looking for a position for the upcoming school year. I have over a decade of exerience working with high school students in a number of countries, including Thailand, Laos, Turkey, and Mexico. I also have a Masters of Education with a concentration in TESOL from Concordia University, as well as a BA from the University of Delaware and TEFL ceritification. I can provide solid references from my most recent employer, Picacho McGregor School in Mexico, as well as contact information for my prior jobs. I have directed high school plays, facilitiated mock international conferences, designed and implemented curriculum, and taught test preparation classes for a number of international standardized English assessments TOEFL, Cambridge CAE. SAT, et al. I can teach students at any level, although my normal teaching style is best for secondary students of intermediate or higher levels.
Most importantly, I have a lifelong commitment to encouraging my students in all countries to love creative expression in all forms and become fluent in English, the closest thing that exists to an international language. I have successfully built a strong classroom community in a number of contexts, where my classes and activities were always extremely popular among the students.
