Self Introduction
To Whom It May Concern:
Please permit me to introduce myself. I am an English as a Second or Foreign Language teacher and hoping to be able to move to Europe as soon as it is possible. As a teacher since , I endeavor to create a supportive, stimulating, and positive environment for all students. Every student can learn if we address their unique needs to achieve student success. I love seeing students grow and succeed. I am passionate about traveling and learning new things; accordingly, I enjoy instilling that love of learning to my students.
I have a master’s degree in Special Education and currently the School Counselor at a Waldorf school in Arizona but am able to leave whenever I have secured a new position. I was the Special Education Director for the last years but due to the desire to translocate to Italy, I have stepped down from that position. My TESL certificate has been effective since . I have Credentials in Special Education with endorsements in Reading; PreKindergarten to adult, Middle School Language Arts, Elementary Education, CLAD Crosscultural Language and Academic Development, Structured English Immersion and English as a Second Language. I am also a Counselor and Art Therapist.
My profession skills include more than years of teaching where I have acquired the ability to establish a responsiveness to students and I seek to provide a safe and supportive learning environment at all times. I have taught EFL in Italy, Japan, and Spain as well as the USA.
I welcome the opportunity to discuss with you how I might best assist you. You can reach me by email, text, the above address or by phone at . I am attaching my CV which covers my education and experience indepth. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Laura Urquhart
